Democracy 3 crash5/30/2023 If you already have a report with them, then I am sorry you just have to wait or contact the developer themselves. I suggest you send a support ticket to GOG if you have not already and they will attempt to help. I am not sure what the missing call is looking for, but the other person with the problem had just updated to version 1.15, so it could possibly be something that was introduced by the patch. The only thing I could find when I was looking through the games debug report was a constant call forįailed to find neuron.\src\SIM_Neuron.cpp 420įailed to find Blackmarket for Publictaxreturns.\src\SIM_Neuron.cpp 384Ĭhecking online I only found one response and they were having the same problem you where. Forcing me to restart the laptop manually as it would not respond at all. Even though the computer said the CPU was only up to 47% before it locked up. When it crashed out for me it not only froze the game, it locked up the machine itself. UK - ran all the way to the election without any problems, doing all the things listed above. Germany - Changed cabinet, altered existing policies, implemented new policies, skipped turns and made it all the way to election. USA - Changed cabinet, altered existing policies, implemented new policies and skipped a few turns. USA - Changed cabinet, altered existing policies, crashed after implementing a new policy. Just skipped turns and got all the way to the next election without any issues. UK - Implemented new policies, altered and cancelled existing policies. Well I have just finished playing rather poor games and have managed with all defaults: DM3 itself works fine though, even with DM3:A in the folder (DM3:A has its own data folder).Jcheneler: Right. I advise not doing this unless you're magic.Īlthough - and I don't know if this is my own personal problem - the only way I could bypass the second turn crash was to load up an autosave, quit to the main menu, and then start up a new game. I originally tried to copy the data files into the Democracy 3 - Africa folder, but this just caused the game to crash on the second turn. I did it through the offline installers of course, as I don't have GOG Galaxy. If you do "/GOG Games/democracy 3/Democracy 3 - Africa" it will not work. Right, so it took me a lot of fumbling about but I somehow managed to get it to work.īasically, you have to install DM3:A directly into your "/GOG Games/democracy 3" folder. I may try to take all of the files and put them in manually and see if it works. I just re-installed Democracy 3 Africa through GOG Galaxy to the game folder for Democracy 3 with all of the DLC. Roses_R_Red: This is the same question that I have. Hope this helps :) styggron, thanks for your reply, I am guessing GOG installer for the 3 DLCs dont allow that installation to base game as D3: Africa for now So if you have the DLC and D3, override where the GoG installer wants you to put it UNLESS it means putting it in the same place anyway. Generally you can tell if the DLCs are picked up by going to the MODS menu on the main screen. I will be buying Africa also from Positech later this week and then installing it where my other D3 things are and report back. With Africa I bought from here first instead of Positech so when I used the GoG installed, whilst I was aware it should be installed where the other D3 stuff was I thought I'd try NOT doing that and letting the GoG installer put it where *it* wanted. In my case, I generally buy direct from Positech to support them as I love them so much *and* I also buy from here. He said you have to install Africa where you installed your other D3 products in my case as I have D3 and all the DLC. I contacted Cliff from Positech with this question.
